Chapter President (2026-2028) Election

Dear SEM Northeast Chapter Members,

After the Annual Meeting, NECSEM conducted its Chapter election online from June 16-24, 2026. The contest was highly competitive, with only one vote separating the top two candidates for Chapter President. The Chapter thanks all candidates for their willingness to serve and all members who participated in the election.

 

The new Executive Committee (2026-2028) comprises Katie Freeze Wolf as Chapter President, Gregory Melchor-Barz (Boston University) as Vice President, and David B. Pruett (University of Massachusetts Boston) as Member-at-Large. Alongside the continuing committee members (2025-2027)—Secretary Winnie W. C. Lai, Treasurer Bradford Garvey (Brandeis University), and Student Representative Ali Hajmalek (Boston University)—the Chapter is committed to broadening its leadership and encourages members to stay engaged for future involvement opportunities.
